From Servant to Son Part II…Discipleship Colossians 2:6 - As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him In order to fully walk in Him we need to walk through four stages of Christian growth. 1. Servantship – When we walk beneath God 2. Discipleship – When we walk behind God 3. Friendship – When we walk beside God 4. Sonship – When we walk in God The first stage of our walk is the baby stage of our Christian walk. It is our Servantship stage. Those who move in this level of a servantship revelation have a saying which is, "You are saved to serve” . Ø This sounds very good to the babe in Christ, who does not know any better, but in fact it is far from the truth. Ø We are not saved to serve. Ø Our Heavenly Father did not call us out of the world and save us to be His servants throughout Eternity.
