From Servant to Son
Part IV…The Sons of God Revealed

(Please understand before reading this final teaching in this series, that when the Holy Spirit uses the term "Sons of God" He is not refering to men only. God is not interested in bringing forth men only, He is not speaking to your fleshly male or female nature. He is talking about that manchild Christ nature that has been birthed within you.)


Colossians 2:6 - As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.
       
Ø     Servantship is when we walk beneath God. This stage of our Christian walk is the baby stage.
Ø     Discipleship is when we walk behind God. This stage of our Christian walk is the child stage.
Ø     Friendship is when we walk beside God. This stage of our Christian walk is the coming into maturity stage.

God must start us off as servants, then disciples, then friends until one day soon our Heavenly Father will turn over to us all His Kingdom and begin to rule, not over us or with us, but through us as Sons of God.

Romans 8: 12  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors-not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
13  For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
15  For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father. "
16  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17  and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
18  For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

We live in troubling times in our world’s history.

Ø     We see shocking corruption in political high places
Ø     Filthy-minded movies and TV.
Ø     There is no shame to the world system and it is not getting any better.

The world is looking for a God.

Ø     People run to their idols of music and movies.
Ø     These are their gods, but they are gods who cannot see or hear them.
Ø     They are gods who do not care about their needs, because these gods care about no one, but themselves.
Ø     Hundreds turn out to see statues oozing oil. People bring their sick and afflicted in hopes that their faith in this would be honored.

Romans 8: 19  For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
20  For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;
21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

The word "corruption" in Strong's means "decay, to waste, shrivel, or wither”. Every living thing on this planet will die; the whole creation will decay and go back to dust.

Ø     All of us, as part of this earthly creation, are "in bondage of corruption. "
Ø     All of us, religious or not, are groaning under the weight of this physical death.
Ø     Man keeps on waiting and waiting and waiting for something to happen in order to deliver them from a certain death.

Romans 8: 22  For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
23  Not only that, but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

The whole creation does not know it,  but they are groaning and longing for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Ø     The sons of God are the first ones who will be released from sin’s chains.
     Ø     The son’s of God will be the first ones who will not have to taste death.
Ø     These are the chosen children of the Most High God
Ø     They are His sons made in His image
Ø     Where ever they walk on this earth they show God’s plan for His creation.
Ø     Then all of creation can look forward to its own redemption.

It is time for them to come forth, not only to save the world but to redeem His church from amongst it.

For being such a large body of people who all claim Jesus Christ as our savior, we can't get it together long enough to agree. Those who have truth can't seem to agree with other groups who have truth.

Ø  We meet with a few other people who share some of our own beliefs, but something is drastically missing.
Ø  We are to be in one mind and one accord, and yet, the divisions continue over even what that one mind is.
Ø     We disagree over who has the final authority in our meetings.
Ø     We argue over who has a the truest word.
Ø     There are several thousand "Christian" denominations and a different concept of God and His plan for every one of them.
Ø     The unity of the Spirit seems as if it is only dream.

The enemy is gaining more and more ground in our churches, while the body of Christ remain in disagreement over what the real truth of God’s word is.

Ø     If we, the church, don’t really believe God’s word about becoming sons of God then how can we possibly redeem a lost and dying world?
Ø     How can we believe on God if we have never heard Him, never
heard His Spirit, never heard Him who is the Word?
Ø     Where are the ones that God is calling to be His minister in these last days?

The world is full of preachers. Anyone who thinks they have heard from God can call him or herself a minister.

Ø     God's ministers are those who speak nothing but God's word from the pulpit.
Ø     They fear nothing but God.
Ø     They have no desire to speak only what pleases man or man's doctrine.
Ø     They know that the words that the Holy Spirit has given them will draw them farther from the world, make them hated by the world.
Ø     They know that the word they have will lead them straight to the cross.
Ø     These are the ministers that God will use to teach that we are called to be the sons of God
Ø     These ministers are chosen to be the sons of God.

Revelation 14:1 Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty four thousand, having His Father's name written on their foreheads.
2  And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps.
3  They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.
4  These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
5  And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God

If His people truly understood what God was about to do in the earth the endless bickering over doctrines and fighting between denominations would cease.

If His people truly understood what God was about to do in the earth a Holy Spirit fire would burn from within them.

If His people truly understood what God was about to do in the earth they would cry out to be called sons of God, set apart from the trappings of this world.

If His people truly understood what God was about to do in the earth they would hear only His voice and speak only his word.

Romans 11: 2 God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying,
3 "LORD, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life "?
4  But what does the divine response say to him? "I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.
5 Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

This is the meaning of that mysterious verse that says, "Many are called, but few are chosen. "

Ø     Do we really realize who we are?
Ø     Do we realize that we have been called to be a bride without spot or wrinkle?
Ø     Do we realize the calling that God has placed on us?
Ø     Do we realize that God had a plan for us long before we ever walked on this earth?
Ø     Do we realize that at this present time God has already given us an
abundant life that has freed us from the chains of sin
Ø     Do we realize that God has set us apart to become the sons of God and has equipped us to complete the task.

We groan within ourselves for someone to stand in the gap between God and this dying world.

Ø     We must become a called out people baptized with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
Ø     We are the body of Christ
Ø     We must finally realize that God’s word is the final authority.
Ø     He alone has the true word that will free creation, not the doctrines of man or the denominations that mankind creates.
Ø     This word is already burning in the hearts of God's remnant, wherever they are.

They will have something that all creation on the face of this earth must have.

Ø     They will have the key that will set the whole creation free from the chains of physical death.
Ø     They are the ones who will have cut through all of the deception and pulls of this world system.
Ø     They will see the Spirit of God
Ø     They will walk in the Spirit of God
Ø     They will be filled with the Spirit of the living God.
Ø     They will rebuild the spiritual walls to the heavenly city.

We need the sons of God to be revealed!
